The menu at Mulu Ethiopian Restaurant is a delightful treasure trove that caters to both adventurous palates and comfort food seekers alike. Among their standout offerings, the Ethiopian Combo Special for 2 is a must-try—a generous, beautifully arranged assortment of authentic dishes served atop freshly made Injera. The tender, sourdough-like injera acts as the perfect base, soaking up the vibrant spices and flavors of the stews it accompanies. Vegetarian and vegan guests will find equal delight in options like the gently sautéed collard greens of Yo Gomen Wot, which balance subtle mildness with aromatic garlic and onions. The menu also surprises with unique appetizers such as Sambusa—crisp pastries filled with savory lentils or spiced fillings—and beloved traditional treats like Sellou, a sweet, nutty Ethiopian dessert that perfectly rounds out the meal.

Complementing the food is an intriguing selection of beverages, from the honeyed, slightly effervescent Honey Wine that washes down the spices beautifully, to the robust, earthy notes of traditional Turkish Coffee. Whether indulging in a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends and family, Mulu’s offerings invite you to savor Ethiopia’s culinary heritage in every mouthful.

We just ate the most delicious Ethiopian food we’ve ever had! I’m so glad we found this place! Food taste and quality is absolutely superb. Really has that homemade taste made with love and care. We will definitely be back very soon. Thank you Mulu for the incredible dinner!

Great value and delicious food! We ordered a couple of vegetarian sambusas (they were out of non-vegetarian) and an Ethiopian Combo for two. Even though we loved it, our party of two adults and two kids around 10 years old couldn't finish off the abundance of food, so we took leftovers home to enjoy later. Service was friendly and very helpful in helping us figure out what to order given the kids' relatively low tolerance for spicy. I was hoping for more of a variety of Ethiopian beers, as listed on their menu online, but I was pleasantly surprised by and enjoyed my Castel Lager. We would have liked to stay for dessert, but we were stuffed.

Delicious, very flavorful Ethiopian food. Had the Vegetarian Combo and the Ethiopian Combo- see both combined in the attached photo. Food was enough for 2 adults and 2 teens. Service was prompt, waitress very nice. Good prices as well. Would definitely go back.

Great food, good service and really nice people. We ordered 2 starters, ye timatim fitfit, I really liked it. The sambusas were unique and we liked the filling. In main course we ordered 4 different dishes. Tagabino, meser wot, cabbage wot, kaye sir. We really liked all three. If you feel like having comfort food then this is the place. Dishes are not overly spicy nor too fancy. It makes you feel like you are having simple home cooked food, which is great! The chocolate cake in desserts was nice, the baklava was too sweet for me.

My heritage is half Ethiopian and when I say this is the best authentic FRESH Ethiopian food around, I mean it. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, so I’m sure it gets overlooked, but this little place is such a gem. My family and I love to come here and I love to take my friends here to enjoy Ethiopian food. Highly recommend.

Really good food. The three of us took two platters (one veg and one non veg) and that was enough for all of us. Plenty of parking space, which is a great plus. (It's really hard to park near the Ethiopian restaurants in Boston).
